Neo Art is a Barcelona based International Production and Packaging company funded in 2011 by former Senior International Sales and Production executive Antonia Nava. The company is focused on films with strong international appeal and talented filmmakers and tends to coproduce mainly with Latin America and Europe.
Film and Tv Production is the main activity of the company. Executive Production, Packaging and Consulting Services, International Producers Representation are other services the company provides. Recent credits include 'Darker than Night' 2014 (Henry Bedwell, in coproduction with Mexico, 'Nobody Wants the Night' (Isabel Coixet which opened Berlinale in 2015, in coproduction with France and Bulgaria), 'No Country for the Young' 2016 (Giovanni Veronesi) and 2017 'Nine and a Half Moons' (Michela Andreozzi) both in coproduction with Italy. 'The Year of the Plague' 2017 (Carlos Martin Ferrera, in coproduction with Benelux and Mexico) will be released in Spain summer 2019.
'My Brother Chases Dinosaurs', based on the novel by Giacomo Mazzariol and directed by Stefano Cipani is a coproduction with Italy, released to great B.O. success in that Country in September 2019 after premiering at Venice Film Festival and Tallin Black Nights. The film won the 2020 EFA (European Film Academy) Young Audience Award to best film, on April 27th, 2020 and the Italian Academy Donatello Giovani. It will be released in Spain and the rest of Europe.
The Mapmaker's Wife'
, based on the novel of the same name, will be directed by Brad Anderson and 'The Rest of Life',
based on the novel by Angeles Caso, will be directed by Norberto Lopez-Amado in 2021.
Neo Art attends all the relevant International Markets, Festivals and Film Coproduction Forums where our projects are represented and also looks for new projects to back up. Over the last few years the company has always been active at Berlinale, Guadalajara, Cannes, Toronto and Rome to name a few.
'La Saga Vanir', based on the acclaimed series of novels by Lena Valenti, a Barcelona author who has already achieved a huge social media impact with the fans of the novels, will be Neo Art's first step into television content. The television series has secured development funding from ICEC. The TV series 'Belle Bimbe Addormentate' to be directed by Dario Argento and 'Memoirs of Hadrian' based on the prestigious novel by Margherite Yourcenar, are also in development thru 2020.
