The shorts selected to form part of the ShortCat 2012 catalogue, the programme for the international promotion of the Catalan short film, are:

- El barco pirata , directed by Fernando Trullols and produced by Bastian Films
- La gota , directed by Daniel Piera and Beatriz Escolar and produced by Francesc Vilallonga
- Plenamar , directed and produced by Joan C. Martorell
- Alto Sauce , directed by Fernando Pomares and produced by Escándalo
- Te i fantasmes , directed by Sintu Amat and produced by Alesa
- Mi padre es Bjorn Borg , directed by Eli Rodríguez and produced by El Dedo en el Ojo
The short film has become the breeding ground for new talent and a work space where prestigious filmmakers can experiment with formats, stories and visual language.
At Catalan Films & TV, we wanted to develop a showcase of our own for Catalan production and support its international projection with this specific programme, ShortCat, which is now celebrating its fifth edition. With envisaged presentation at all the international markets and festivals, this initiative particularly targets industry members: festival programmers and/or directors, distributors, etc.
