The Jeonju International Film Festival, as a way to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, decided to hold exclusive screenings of the competition titles, stream selected titles online for general public, and have smaller-scale offline screening for an extended period, from May 28 to September 20.
The festival includes two Catalan films in its line-up: The Year of the Discovery/El año del descubrimiento, Luis López Carrasco's second feature film (LaCima Producciones, Alina Film,Magnetica Creative Lab
Cromagnon Producciones) premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam, will make its Asian premiere in the competitive section International Competition.
Furthermore, feature film After Water, second film by Dane Komljen (Andergraun Films, Flaneur Films), will be included at JEONJU Cinema Project 2020 section, preface of Jeonju Cinema Project, which celebrates its seventh year after transitioning into a feature film financing and production program in 2014.
Finally, the Expanded Cinema section that introduce films that experiment with the structure of cinematic languages, will be screening Lonely Rivers, by Mauro Herce (Mauro Herce, El Viaje Films, Bocalupo Films)
