The documentary The Path to Àrreu deals with the subject of the rural depopulation throughout history of Àrreu, a village in the Valls d'Àneu. The isolation due to the lack of a road to get there, and also the neighbourhood conflict arising from disagreements about the project to build it, ended up causing the total exodus of its inhabitants.
Many years later, after being pillaged and occupied by diverse people, some young neo-rurals arrived in the abandoned village, with the hope of reviving it.
Exploring the subjectivity of its witnesses, the documentary The Path to Àrreu exposes the personal circumstances of all those who lived such traumatic events, outlining a conscious portrait of the human condition from all of them.
