Visions du Réel is an international film festival specialized in documentary films and is one of the most important in Europe in this domain. The event takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, usually in late April. The festival has the mission of showing the world and society as it is, offering a great diversity of approaches that allow covering various experiences, reflections and aspirations. The programming and organization favor the encounter and dialogue between filmmakers of all film-reality formats (experimental, rehearsal, private diary, family film, historical investigation, large reportage, epic recreation, etc.).
