The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, organized and subsidized by the International Animation Film Association (ASIFA), was created in 1960 in Annecy (France) and has since become a major annual event for the city.
The festival currently has the participation of around 3000 film competition organizations from more than 90 different countries. This year, the Festival has received more than 3,070 films (short films, feature films, television and commissions) from around the world between November and March and more than 200 films have been shortlisted to participate in the official selection, a competition between animated films (of various techniques: cartoons, Stop motion, etc.) classified into different categories:
