synopsis

Darkness Within is a third-person adventure game in a 3D environment with elements of other genres including RPG, survival horror and action drops. The player takes on the role of Balthasar, a young university student who is mixed up in a mysterious conspiracy. Much despite himself, he becomes a sort of detective, embarking on a journey around the world, while casting doubt on certainties that he has hitherto accepted as indisputable truths. This is also an inner journey for Balthasar, who must watch his back and keep himself from going mad, as his senses, emotions and perceptions of the world around him are significantly altered.
