synopsis

The Final Stretch is the story of a community paralysed by unemployment and immersed in its own sort of The Grande Bouffe in a place on the Ebro river delta, where each year a bit more of the land is swallowed up by the sea. A journey along the final stretch of the river, an area immersed in a total crisis, economic, social and environmental. The reflection of a society that has given into overindulgence and is gradually devouring itself.
